Get ready for an empowering weekend on the mountain! The 2026 Hoodoo / NWMC Archery Camp is a women’s archery experience designed to build confidence with your bow, strengthen your fundamentals, and create unforgettable memories alongside a supportive community of outdoorswomen. Set at the scenic Hoodoo Ski Resort, this camp blends hands-on archery instruction with a relaxed, family-friendly camping environment—making it the perfect summer getaway for women and the people they love adventuring with.
Alongside certified archery coach Courtney Prete you’ll dive into foundational workshops, learn how to understand and set up your equipment, build a repeatable shooting cycle, and gain the skills needed to independently sight in your bow. Instruction is reserved for women participants, but spouses, partners, and kids are welcome to join in the camping fun, shoot recreationally, enjoy the vendors, and soak up the NW Mountain Challenge atmosphere.
We’re also thrilled to welcome Kim Palmer-Nicks of Spear Strength Wellness, who will lead fireside coaching sessions and discussions around fitness, mobility, and nutrition tailored to archers and outdoorswomen.
Enjoy two days on the NW Mountain Challenge 3D Course—an immersive, skill-building opportunity to shoot, explore, and apply everything you've learned in a dynamic environment surrounded by nature and community.
This retreat welcomes 20 women and offers a unique mix of instruction, adventure, connection, and fun. Come sharpen your skills, meet new friends, and spend an unforgettable weekend in the outdoors.

This camp is perfect for women who want to build or strengthen their archery skills in a supportive environment. Whether you're brand-new to archery, refining your mechanics, or preparing for future bowhunting adventures, this weekend will help you gain practical skills and real confidence behind your bow.
Instruction is reserved for women, but the environment is intentionally family-friendly. Spouses, partners, and kids are welcome to join for the camping weekend and share in the experience.

What’s Included
Archery Instruction for Women: Foundational workshops, equipment confidence, shooting mechanics, and developing a personalized, consistent shooting cycle. Learn how to sight in your bow and gain clarity around your setup.
3D Archery Experience: Two days shooting the NW Mountain Challenge 3D course with friends, family, and a fun, passionate archery community.
Fitness & Mobility Coaching: Join Coach Kim for fireside sessions on fitness, mobility, and nutrition strategies that support archery and backcountry readiness.
Community & Fun: Gather around the fire, visit the vendor village, meet other women in the outdoors, and enjoy a relaxed camping atmosphere.
Accommodations: Camp onsite in your trailer, tent, or one of the tents we provide. Offsite lodging (Airbnb/hotel) is welcome if preferred—just plan to participate fully in camp.
Meals
Meals are not provided. Please bring a cooler with food as you would for any camping trip. Some on-site food options may be available through Hoodoo and NWMC. Coolers can be made available for those flying in.
